Cecilia Aguiar-Curry

Mayor • Farmer • Businesswoman

State Assembly, District 4

“Dear Friend:

I am humbled and grateful for the support I received this year from all over this district and look forward to being able to serve the needs of the small cities and rural communities that make District 4 so special.

Working with leaders from all six of the District’s counties, I will focus on bringing good jobs, quality schools, and equal opportunities to all residents. I will need your help and support and hope to hear from many of you in the weeks and months ahead.”

Assemblywoman-Elect Cecilia Aguiar-Curry

First Woman Mayor of Winters

Cecilia has a track record of getting things done as a community leader and businesswoman, Planning Commissioner, City Councilmember, and first woman Mayor of Winters. She will continue that focus on accomplishment in the Assembly, as Chair of the Assembly Local Government Committee.

Businesswoman

With degrees in accounting and business, Cecilia has specialized in water use, strategic planning and community outreach. She will bring a common sense approach, based on years of experience, to the challenges facing California and District 4.

Family Farmer

Her passion and appreciation for agriculture started when she was a child, working summers and after school on the farm, and as a co-owner of the family farm. As a member of the Assembly Ag Committee, Cecilia will fight for the ag industry and particularly small, family farmers.
